Can random men beat a PROFESSIONAL WOMAN in a race? I saw this video (@bwvine on IG) and felt compelled to respond for two reasons. 1. I personally find it frustrating how frequently some men talk down on women’s sports. It doesn’t matter if some of them are not the same level as men’s sports, just support them and hope they grow, you know? 2. As someone who is becoming quite a keen (albeit very amateur still) runner, I can assure you that average Joes will not beat even competent Joe-ettes, let alone professional ones. There are legitimately women in their 60s who would crush most guys at marathon running, for example. Just like people in the gym often have different abilities, I think it’s nice to support everyone.
