Fighting with your boyfriend, girlfriend, family member, or “other” is kind of a given in life. I don’t want you to get discouraged if it happens to you more than you would like it to. These sorts of relationships are some of the strongest you’ll ever have in your life, so I encourage you to fight the urge to run at the first sign of trouble. Sometimes it’s worth it to go through conflict so that you can grow through conflict. Sometimes you realize just how small disagreements are be in the grand scheme of your relationship. Of course, there are times where you want to put your emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing first, but I would wager that absent these conditions, the choice to stay and “plant your flag” and make the decision to work through it is more worth it in the end. Have you ever worked through a big disagreement in the past? How did it turn out? Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away. -Song of Solomon 8;7
