Forest fires don’t have to be devastating when you tend to the understory properly. Today im Hand trimming snowberry to make room for native foods like glaciar lilies and spring beauties while Leaving the native service berry and roses growing in the drip line of established trees. Today we found a wood chipper for cheap and it works! Now we can get rid of these piles to make room for more piles to get rid of. Also bucking up logs and making a stack of firewood to prepare to move into new sections and drop more trees that are crowding established trees. Soon the forest will be clear and visible while also walkable. #forest #wildtending #forestry
