‘Floating’ is another small study I took with me on my recent travels abroad. This time to Chile when I revealed Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran’s new album cover to them in their hotel in Santiago. I had a few hours to wander around the city which I was dying to do but I also needed to finish this artwork to stay on track so I painted in my hotel room overlooking the city. My sister was born in Chile so I felt extra proud of making the hot air balloon reference the Chilean flag with the use of blue, red and white in a spiral pattern. It seems to be floating on a pink sky which is why I titled it as such. This artwork will not be for sale but will be on display at my upcoming exhibition in Berlin from 2-4 October.
