‘Spinning’ is just a small study I made to practice painting helicopters. I love flying in general but helicopters bring a different level of excitement to me. We recently flew over the city and suburbs of Munich piloted by our friend and before that Charli took me on a scenic helicopter ride over Sydney too. They bring a whole new perspective of life on earth, allowing you to be both close and distant from reality. I painted the helicopter in my hotel room in Frankfurt before my trip to Portugal and can’t wait for you to see it in my upcoming show in Berlin later this year. Ref.
