A 12-year-old girl from Co Antrim has topped the UK padel rankings in her age category after taking up the sport following her mum’s death. Jade Murray, from Broughshane in Ballymena, has reached number one in the UK under-12 girls’ padel rankings, according to the Lawn Tennis Association. Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world and is popular for its social aspect and also because beginners find it easy to get started.
