I turned 40 in May, and if I could go back to being in my 20s, I honestly wouldn't. Not because life can't still be great in your 20s, but it really does keep getting better if you spend those years wisely. When I was younger, 40 sounded ancient to me, like it was just the beginning of the decline. But now I realize how backwards that was. Your mid to late 30s is when you're actually entering your peak as a man. Not because some magic switch flips, but because that's usually when all the things you've been building toward really start coming together. Physically, there's almost no difference in muscle building or fat loss compared to your 20s. Testosterone only drops slightly, and metabolic rate doesn't drop at all. Except now your training and diet are more dialed in because you've just been at it for longer. But now you've had time to build up the financial side, which gives you more freedom. You have more life experience, you're more confident, more grounded. It should be the best version of yourself you've ever been. So if you're a guy in your 20s, just understand that you have way more time than you realize. Stop obsessing over where you think you should be right now and just focus on doing the work. And if you're already in your late 30s or beyond and feel like you're behind, remember that this peak isn't some super narrow window either. You still have plenty of runway ahead if you continue making the right choices from here. P.S. If you want help getting the physique side dialed in with just a few hours in the gym per week, my TrainWise system has you covered.
