Sometimes what you shout isn’t actually for your teammates… it’s for the opposition to hear 👀😂 As a goalkeeper, you see pretty much everything that’s happening in front of you. You’re also not constantly involved in the action like an outfield player, so use that time to stay engaged with the game and maybe use it to your advantage. A little comment here and there can plant a bit of doubt, make someone second-guess what they’re doing or even tempt them into trying to prove you wrong. The key is keeping it fun. Nothing personal, nothing abusive. Just using your communication and your position on the pitch to try and gain that tiny psychological advantage.
