For most of my adult life, fitness was always something I’d get to later. I spent my 20s and 30s hustling and building businesses, and every year I’d tell myself, “I’ll focus on my health once things calm down.” The problem is... they never really calm down. Over the years, I started noticing my energy wasn’t what it used to be. My drive wasn’t the same. My libido wasn’t the same either. I just assumed it was because I was getting older. Then I booked a DEXA scan. It came back at 26.4% body fat. For men, 30% body fat is considered obese. I wasn’t there yet, but I was a lot closer than I ever thought I’d be. That was kind of my wake-up call. I didn’t start with some crazy plan. I just decided I had to do something. I started eating better. Walking more. Then I slowly learned about calories, nutrition, and strength training. Looking back, I think the biggest mistake I made wasn’t putting my business first. It was thinking I could keep putting my health off until “later.”
