SEND families are not asking for sympathy... but empathetic leadership, where they are truly heard and validated. Too many feel abandoned by a system that’s supposed to protect and support their children. Pupils with SEND frequently experiences more bullying in schools compared to children without SEND and studies continue to show disabled and SEND children face significantly higher levels of discrimination, isolation, and emotional & physical harm within the education system. This is about our beautiful children and their beautiful families needing help in a system that can be reformed with proper funding, trained support staff, safeguarding, and accountability.
