Watch the before clip and you’ll see it right away. All his weight dumps onto one leg on the landing, and that’s the actual leak. It’s why the shot drifts, why it fades off the rim, why it loses power the second a hand gets up in his face. The fix isn’t in the release, it’s in the landing, getting even weight across both legs so each one decelerates on its own instead of one leg absorbing all the force. Think two shock absorbers working together instead of one doing all the work. Same mechanics, same release, just controlled now instead of rushed. Balance never looks flashy, but it’s usually what fixes everything else underneath it. It’s one of the first things we check with every player who steps on the floor, because you can have a perfect release and it still won’t hold up if the base underneath it is off. Save this before your next session, tag a hooper who needs to see it, and follow along for the drills we actually run. #basketballtraining #shootingform #jlawbball #youthbasketball #basketballdrills
