Athletics >>> Aesthetics I promise you don’t need to learn a backflip 😅 but I do think we all need to be jumping a little more often! One of the reason I love including jumps in my training is because they give you SO much bang for your buck. Jumping helps us maintain power as we age, challenges our balance and coordination, strengthens our tendons, and places healthy stress on our bones to support bone density. It also reminds our nervous system how to produce force quickly and helps us feel athletic again! If you’ve been avoiding jumping because it feels intimidating, just start small! A few squat jumps or pogo hops at the beginning or end of your workout is more than enough. They don’t have to be high or look particularly impressive. Just leave the ground, land softly, and remind your body what it’s still capable of. Remember, there’s an athlete in everyone, so go get after it! 👊 #theoryofmotion #jump #plyo #plyometrics #jasonandlaurenpak
