If you HAD to get better at pushups There's a certain point (relatively early on) where just doing more pushups won't help that much The ideal amount depends on how good at pushups you already are, but you usually only need a few hard sets to build the stimulus for growth. Extra sets after that point might add fatigue but perhaps not proportionate growth/progress. But that seems too boring, you can use your extra time to do some accessory exercises. These exercises may not be the bottleneck to your pushups, but they'll help you build capacity so they don't limit you in the future. Among other things, scapular pushes, triceps pushes, and some core exercises can help make pushups easier for you. Ideal routines will differ, so pick one and adjust as needed. Have a wonderful day! #hybridcalisthenics
