Back in black ... and white! 🖤🦓🤍 After a five-year hiatus, zebras are back at the Zoo! Please welcome our newest additions, Hercules and Pegasus. The two juvenile half-brothers can now be seen in their new habitat nestled between the hippos and flamingos in the African Savanna. For now, they will have access to their barn while they acclimate to their new surroundings. Fun fact: Zebras had been a mainstay at the Zoo for nearly a century until their departure five years ago to make way for what is now the lion habitat in Predators of Africa and Asia. The first zebra arrived at the Fort Worth Zoo in 1923, and the species remained until 2021. Say howdy to Hercules and Pegasus on your next Zoo visit! 🤠
