Yesterday a gunman wearing a bulletproof vest and armed with a rifle entered 345 Park Avenue — a 44-story Midtown Manhattan skyscraper that houses the headquarters of Blackstone and the NFL. The suspect opened fire, tragically taking the life of an NYPD officer from the 47th Precinct who was working a paid security detail for Rudin Properties. At least two civilians were also sh*t, one critically injured. The suspect later barricaded himself on the 33rd floor, where he was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunsh*t wound. Authorities confirm the suspect’s identity as 27-year-old Shane Tamura, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. Four people have lost their lives, including the suspect.
