Shanghai Sheng Jian Bao 上海生煎包 - unlike the fluffy fried bao, the ones popular in Shanghai know for its soupy juicy filling, crunchy bottoms and thin tops 🤤 I’ve said this many times before but these dumplings have a special place in my heart. It made me passionate dumpling eater as a kid, kick started me to perfect these and stated popups and reimagined myself to the chef I am today. it reminds me why I love creating and sharing so much.
