Shachihata transformed stamping in Japan twice, first by developing an ink pad that resisted drying out, then by eliminating the pad altogether. Their Xstamper stores ink inside microscopic pores in the rubber, allowing it to stamp again and again without a separate ink pad. A simple idea that changed one of Japan’s most everyday office tools.
