The 75 country US immigrant visa pause was overturned in court late last week. But there are still 39 countries banned to varying degrees including my wife’s country of Nigeria. This is great for the families of many American citizens trying to bring their spouses, children, or other family members to the United States. It means that the U.S. State Department will process and review their applications according to the laws set by Congress rather than refuse to process visas from those countries. There are still 39 countries banned from receiving almost all types of visas including immigrant visas. Much of the list is overlapping. We fall into that second group that is still banned. #usvisa #usimmigration
