Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams has admitted to turning to real-life witchcraft to boost her acting career, paying an online spiritual practitioner on Etsy to help her land a movie role. Speaking at the European premiere of her new film Practical Magic 2 in London, the 29-year-old actress revealed she once paid a seller on the artisan marketplace to manifest an acting job. The practitioner provided a set of specific phrases to repeat every night, though Williams confessed that the spell ultimately failed to deliver results. Despite the digital incantation falling flat, Williams eventually landed a role in the high-profile fantasy sequel alongside Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. She joins the cast as Antonia Owens, a neurosurgeon-in-training and daughter of Bullock's character, Sally. The actress admitted she still adheres to everyday superstitions, like avoiding walking over three consecutive drain covers on the street. "I just have to. I stick with that one," she said.
