I spent the past few months working on this simple PCB game board I’m calling Offscreen to help reduce my screen time. It’s for all those moments where I don’t really need to go on my phone and I just need 5 minutes to occupy my hands. It features 20 LEDs and 20 corresponding buttons with a rotary encoder. So far I has six games (Snake, Simon Says, Whack-a-Mole, Memory Recall, Minesweeper, Lights Out). Twenty ambient light modes. A Pomodoro timer for when you actually need to get things done. And a surprisingly good flashlight mode. I decided to make a small batch of Beta units if you want to get an early hands on test to play around with it or just completely hack it on your own.
