One last time. Bringing this up to close this very dear to my heart chapter. It’s time to make space for new. I began this series in 2016 as journey to obtain a deeper understanding of the need for connection. I wanted to explore and analyze the essence of both our interpersonal relationships and relationships we have with ourselves, our identity and egos. This series was a way for me to deepen my understanding of myself; through my own self-reflection I've come to realize that art is my core, hence why this series has become extremely personal to me. Art has always been more than just pen and paper to me. I feel a part of my soul goes in to every bit of my work. So while this piece may also be just an aggregation charcoal and water color on paper on the surface beneath it, if you look deeper, between all the brushstrokes and etchings of pencil, if you read between the lines you'll find a part of me; a part of my soul.
