how i help my 3 rabbits through a heatwave🌞🌡️💗 rabbits do not do well in the heat. they cannot regulate their body temperature so rely on us to help. unfortunately many rabbits live in tiny hutches or cages, which can turn into little saunas on a hot day, and this can be fatal. here’s how to do it right💕 couple extras i didn’t mention: haircuts during the summer can be very helpful. i notice a significant difference in Floss on a hot day when she’s not had a haircut for a while. i have them trims the day after filming these clips☺️✂️ this isn’t really necessary unless you have a fluffy or thick haired breed like angora or lionhead. cooling tiles are also a really good option 🧊 signs of heatstroke/overheating/struggling in the heat: very fast breathing, lethargy- lying and not really moving except hyperventilating. floppiness, open mouth panting in severe cases, drooling, unconsciousness or seizures during severe heatstroke. if severe, please take to a vet immediately while trying to cool them down yourself 🏥🐰 a lovely montage at the end for you🥹💕🐰 #rabbits #heatwave #rabbitsoftiktok #foryou #fyp
