We’ve all been through cycles of depression. I have been through it enough times to know when there’s an onset, or if I’m not quite feeling “high vibes.” But I’ve also learned to accept my “low vibe” states too because it’s just as much a part of my normalcy as anything else. And it’s where I can do my best introspective work. I also just jump into big projects to distract myself from thoughts that can just weigh me down. But these very small steps I can take before the big stuff I think are more important. At the end of the day, distractions are distractions and what needs to be dealt with will always remain. And this whole process can take days or even weeks before I can settle into what seems more like my “normal” day-to-day. But obviously,, talk to a specialist or therapist for more expert advice. Don’t suffer alone. Be gentle on yourself. Take the time. No one is chasing you. This is your journey and yours alone. Find the healthy-ish ways to cope that works for you. Also check in on your friends. Here’s how I got out of my recently funky state of mind. ❤️ #mentalhealthawareness
