Every time I’ve shared my grief online, I’ve received hundreds of messages from people who have lost a pet too telling me they felt seen, understood, or a little less alone. And I think that says so much about how little we talk about the reality of losing a pet… That’s why I’m starting this series. Every week, I’ll be sharing something I learned through losing Madi. Something I wasn’t prepared for, something I wish someone had told me, or simply a part of grief that deserves to be talked about more. Nothing could have prepared me for losing her. But if sharing the hardest parts of my grief can make even one person feel less alone in theirs, then I want to keep talking about it. So if you found me because you’re grieving a pet you loved with your whole heart, welcome. I hope this can be a place where you feel a little less alone. 🥹🤍 #petloss #petgrief #losingadog #souldog
