My heart is completely overflowing because I got to attend the stunning Black Women in Music luncheon and present the Trailblazer Award to my friend Kandi Burruss! 🏆✨ Then we headed to the Caesars Superdome one last time to close out the weekend! Missy Elliott’s beautiful tribute to Aaliyah had me in tears, T.I. rocked the stage with a live orchestra, the legendary George Clinton brought the actual Mothership to NOLA, AND Doug E. Fresh brought out his surprise guest, Tevin Campbell!! Thank you, NOLA, and thank you, Essence Fest, for a weekend that fed my soul.
