Bats save U.S. agriculture more than $3 billion in pest control every year. They also play an essential role in pollinating plants, dispersing seeds, and – of course – making date night truly magical. But bat species are declining across the globe. The IUCN lists more than 200 bat species as vulnerable, threatened or critically endangered. And without action, bat populations will continue to fall.
