Happy 20th birthday to our eldest son, Jude! 🎉💕🎂 It feels like just yesterday he was celebrating his 5th birthday (his first one with us) and we were watching the excitement in his eyes as he experienced his very first birthday party, opening gifts, blowing out his candles and breaking open a piñata filled with candy. He’s always had such a joyful and grateful disposition and it’s been such a gift to see him grow into such an incredible young man.🥹 We were talking with him via video chat recently about how he’s feeling to be saying goodbye to his teen years and officially stepping into his 20s. Such a big milestone! He’s still out on his ship so unfortunately we can’t wish him a happy birthday on the exact day but we’re so proud of his willingness to sacrifice and serve others. He recently was given an award in the Navy for going above and beyond what’s expected of him and honestly we’re not a bit surprised. He’s kind, thoughtful, courageous, protective and has a humble, quiet strength about him that is so admirable. ❤️ We love you so much @judesurafel and hope you have a truly wonderful birthday out at sea.
