The Collective Absorbs the Soft Ones · When I look at what I’ve made here — these soft creatures pressed together, their bodies melted into one suffocating mass — I see something I’ve felt more times than I want to admit. That quiet pressure to give in. To soften. To let the edges of myself dissolve so I can fit into whatever shape the world demands. · One of them breaks free, and for a moment it carries the fragile hope of escape. The hope that something soft can survive outside the collective. That maybe it can be separate, or real, or whole in a way that isn’t immediately swallowed by everything around it. But the moment doesn’t last. It sinks into the pattern, and the mass closes over it like it was never an individual at all. · That moment scares me, because it feels like a greater truth. Even when I try to be unique, I’m still made of the same material as everyone else. I still get pulled back into the structure I thought I escaped. Real freedom feels like a story we tell ourselves to avoid seeing the machinery underneath. · In the end, softness is what dooms us. Soft things melt. Soft things merge. Soft things are reclaimed. · The collective absorbs the soft ones. That’s the order of things. · — #animation #3danimation #cartoon
