For almost 20 minutes after camp ended, they stayed. Just because I needed them. I had completely psyched myself out over box jumps the night before. I knew I was physically capable, but there was a mental block I just could not get past. I walked into the gym frustrated with myself and honestly way more upset about it than I wanted to admit. After camp, my friends and trainers could have gone on with their day. Instead, they stayed. They surrounded that box, talked me through every attempt, cheered me on, and pushed me when I needed it. Almost 20 minutes later, I finally got on that box. Then I did it three more times. FOUR. A new PR. 🥹 And somehow the PR feels like the smallest part of this story. I’ll remember those four jumps, but I’ll remember even more that a group of people had somewhere else to be and still decided to stay for me. I don’t know how to adequately put into words what that kind of love and support means to me, but I hope they know I’ll never forget it. 💙 @Megan Widener @burnbootcamplakemurrary @Burn Boot Camp #theloseitlog #healthjourney #wljourney #burnbootcamp #boxjump
