it has taken me over a week to post this back to school video because I still can’t believe it’s only four kids going off to school😭🏆🚌 Back-to-school looked a little different this year. 🥹❤️ For the first time, one of my babies wasn’t in the back-to-school lineup. Andre is off serving in the military, and his absence was definitely felt. One less backpack. One less first-day picture. One less kid walking out the door. This mama heart is being pulled in so many different directions this season. But somehow, the vibe was still SO good. 🥹 Aaryn brought us into her middle school era with the perfect back-to-school playlist blasting through the house. Hailey was doing her lashes and, FINALLY, walked confidently into junior year without hating her first-day-of-school hairstyle 😂🙌🏾. Terrell surprised me by being extra, extra sleepy and looking like summer should’ve lasted just a little bit longer. 😂 And Owen… whew. Looking at his face this year, I can actually SEE it. My baby is becoming a kid. 😭 He’s losing that little baby face more and more, and I’m not sure my heart gave permission for any of this. Five babies. Four at home. Four heading into another school year while my oldest is building a completely different life of his own. ❤️🩹 And still… God is so good. Thank You, God, for allowing us to walk confidently into another school year. Please cover every child walking into a classroom this year. Protect them in the hallways, on the buses, on the playgrounds, on the fields, and everywhere their parents cannot be. Give them confidence, wisdom, good friendships, patient teachers and safe spaces to grow. Provide everything they need, seen and unseen. And every morning that we send them out into this world, please bring our babies safely back home to us. 🙏🏾 Amen.
