I feel like it's about time for a new meet the maker post seeing as how so much has changed for me in the last year or so. So hi! My name is Shelby (lots of people know me as Schlebbzz), & I am the person behind The Entangled Fae. I'm 30 years old, queer, audhd, hypermobile, and probably have POTS (I'm working on getting a diagnosis, but it's been a challenging process) all of these diagnoses happened in the last year and a half and I've been learning how to better support my brain and my body so that I can continue running TEF as long as possible. It's been a whirlwind for sure, but I'm finally starting to feel like I have the tools to improve my life, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. I've been running TEF since June 2020 and transitioned to doing this full time at the beginning of this year. 🥹 I am in love with all things magical and whimsical and have loved faeries and have been calling myself a faerie since I was a kid. Besides crocheting, I'm also very involved in circus arts/prop spinning. My main prop is leviwand, which I've been practicing for 11 years, and I recently started taking pole classes and am so in love with it. During the warm season, I travel to (at even work at some) flow festivals, music festivals, and anime conventions. I've been dabbling in crochet cosplays and have really enjoyed making them so far. I also enjoy embroidery and making glasses chains. Some of my recent hyperfixations/interests have been legos, jfashion, fashion dolls, autism, & adhd. I grew up in poverty and worked in the mental health field for a decade. I was never able to be financially stable despite having a degree and working multiple jobs at times. Everyone's continued support of TEF has allowed me to be financially stable for the first time in my life, and I seriously cannot thank you all enough for finding value in my art and for everything you do to support me. Even the small things like engaging with my content has helped me out tremendously. I'm not rich by any means, but I'm so grateful to finally be able to afford services to help my physical and mental health. Thank you all so much for being here and for supporting me on this journey. ✨️
