This is the bear that got into a territorial predicament with another male bear during mating season many weeks ago. Outside of a little discharge from one eye, his face healed very well despite the scars that were left behind. With summer almost over, all the bears have lost last years’s body fat and significant weight. They are now in the woods foraging for nuts, berries, insects, and other nutritional foods. I feel that this is going to be a harsh winter because acorns have already started to fall. There are quite a number of them on the ground throughout the forest. I mentioned the bear looking like a guard dog just by the way he was sitting on the front porch. ##bear##wildlife##animal##nature##fyp
