Today, I want to share something really personal in my home. In this hallway, there’s a piece by David Hockney, his only piece that we own. Since Hockney passed recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about it. It’s called “Half a Mo,” and it was originally a portrait of him and a man named Mo who lived with him. After a falling out, he tore it up, and all that remains are these fragments. And sometimes, that brokenness, that story, is more powerful than the whole. I hold it close!
