I do lots of stand alone skits with characters and scenarios we never see again. The babydoll is in a lot of those. Not a real baby (!!) but representative of all the babies who have ever been. These skits usually highlight the oft-overlooked absurdity in the transformation from regular person to mom 💗 2. This is Shawna. She’s not me, she just has my name. Slightly neurotic, sometimes awkward, very sincere and means well. She’s sort of the “everymom” 3. Shawna is married to John, a lovable horndog & all around good guy. Coincidentally my real life husband is also named John. Skit John is not real John despite the obvious similarities. 4. Skit John has a mom named Barb. She’s Shawna’s MIL. Barb is pretty toxic, an emotionally immature gaslighter & guilt-tripper😵💫 John’s little sister is Jen, she used to be toxic but is learning a better way since getting knocked up. 5. Jen’s baby daddy is Greg, he is the greenest green flag and makes us all swoon. 6. Shawna’s mom is Delores aka DeeDee aka Mama D, a loving, supportive, no-nonsense matriarch. 7. Barb is married to Frank, John and Jen’s dad. He’s new to skits because he’s usually disassociating in the den. 8. Shawna is bffs with Laura, who just had a baby. Laura is married to Luke who does the bare minimum while invalidating Laura’s feelings. Boo Luke. 9. Shawna met a dad at the park named Ty. Unforch, Ty is married to Julie and for some reason Julie seems displeased with Shawna. Time will tell wtf is happening here… 10. And there are more characters to come!! K hope this helps!
