Not every wildlife rescue happens in the wild. This little vervet monkey had been trapped by people so he could be safely relocated, and when the call came through, it was time to go. Every rescue is different, but one thing never changes: getting there safely is just as important as the rescue itself. When I’m heading to a call-out, I need to trust the vehicle I’m in, so I can focus on the animal that needs me. Today, that meant helping one little monkey get a second chance in a safer place. Protecting wildlife isn’t always about dramatic rescues.
