Can you afford a pack a day? Sharon and I collect Pokémon cards, but most of the time, we don’t get a hit. So after opening a few packs, it can start to feel like we’re just wasting money. But there’s a simple rule that shows us how much we can comfortably spend on packs based on where we are financially. It’s called the 0.01% rule. The idea is that you can spend up to 0.01% of your net worth each day on something you enjoy without feeling guilty about it. That means if you’re buying one $8 pack every day, you should have a net worth of around $80,000. That doesn’t mean you have to stop enjoying your hobbies until you reach that number. It just helps you make sure your spending matches where you are financially. And if you have $80,000 saved and invested, you can rip one pack a day (even when you don’t get a hit) without feeling as bad about it. Hopefully, your pulls are better than ours. 🤣 👉 Follow @Seanjpan and @SharonTseung to make money easy! #pokemoncards #personalfinance #networth #moneymanagement #wealthbuilding
