Hey everyone. I’m sure some of you have been wondering where I disappeared to. I finally feel okay enough to share a bit about what’s been going on. Starting in 2023, I went through a series of back-to-back family emergencies and losses. It began when my bird—who had been with me for over 20 years—passed away in my arms. That moment hit me harder than I expected, and in the time that followed I realized I didn’t really know how to process or navigate all the grief that kept coming after. Apart from that, I had quite a few family medical emergencies that shook me to my core. My mother—who was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago—had a very serious emergency neck surgery that involved her spine. During the holidays I stepped away to take care of her while she recovered, and I spent over a month helping her through that process. She’s still continuing to fight this awful illness, so if you’re the praying type, please keep her in your prayers. With everything happening at once, I found myself feeling pretty numb. Creating content, especially the kind that feels genuine and joyful, just wasn’t something I could do at the time. I felt like I was trying to put on a brave, unaffected face online, and eventually I realized that wasn’t sustainable. After trying to push through it for so long, I completely burned out. I’m really sorry for disappearing without any explanation. I’ve wanted to talk about it for a long time, but I needed to take the space to rest, process everything, and start putting myself back together again. The time away helped me realize how important joy, laughter, and connection really are—especially during dark moments. That’s always been the heart of why I create in the first place. I’m feeling ready to slowly return and get back to doing what I genuinely love: bringing a little bit of light, humor, and warmth into the world. We could all use more of that. Thank you to everyone who has stuck around and supported me. It truly means more than you know. 🤍 PS… I moved to LA.
