Eagle hunters of Kyrgyzstan π¦
Around 25-30 registered eagle hunters are left in Kyrgyzstan. A nomadic tradition that is built in a bond over 20-30 years. Eagles are used alongside hunting dogs to catch fox and other smaller mammals through the mountains. Hunters will ride with their eagles on horse back as they go on a hunt. All Golden eagles are female and once βretiredβ they are set free to live out the rest of their life in the wild. They live up to 50 years old. After 10 days in the wild, the bond is lost and life moves on. Beautiful to see a slice of this special life. πΉ @sonyalphaeu A7siii @tamron_europe 35-150mm f2.0-2.8 #kyrgyzstan
