There’s something wonderfully ridiculous about a camel living on a ranch with 200 peach trees. Most camels spend their lives wandering around looking for something green to eat. Albert apparently landed in the one place where summer means somebody is walking around with barrels full of fresh peaches. This time of year, we’re picking peaches by the hundreds, filling barrels as fast as we can—and Albert has figured out that harvest season is basically an all-you-can-eat buffet. While everyone else is working, he’s standing there munching away, completely convinced that the peach orchard was planted specifically for him. And with “Movin’ to the Country, gonna eat a lot of peaches” playing in the background, it’s almost too perfect. Albert didn’t just move to the country. He moved to Rancho Grande, where there are 200 peach trees, people willing to pick the peaches for him, and absolutely no reason for a camel to ever consider moving back to the desert.
