The first stock I ever bought was the only company I’d heard of selling for under $5 a share. I stupidly believed that if I bought more shares, I’d make more money if it went up. It was about to go bankrupt, but another company acquired it and it tripled in price. I thought, "I like this game—it must be easy." Look at the Wall Street Journal with thousands of stocks; surely I can just pick one or two that go up! That's how I got started. It didn't take long to realize the game wasn't easy at all—but by then, I was completely hooked. Credit: Sam Parr, Shaan Puri, and @My First Million #RayDalio #Investing#Investing#Mindset
