I think we are all feeling the enormous loss of Dolly Parton right now. It truly felt like a gut punch when I opened my phone to learn of this sad news. What an extraordinary force she was, not only in music, but in this world. A once in a generation talent, songwriter, storyteller, trailblazer and light who somehow made everyone feel like they knew her. Her warmth, humor, generosity and authenticity were every bit as iconic as the songs she gave us. Dolly didn’t just leave her mark on country music.
