In Nepal and China, the combined death toll from last week's floods is nearing 1,000 people. More than 4,400 others remain missing. In Nepal, rescuers are racing to find some 500 trapped workers in tunnels at hydropower sites that have been clogged by water and debris. They say some people may have access to oxygen, but time is running out. Desperate families in hard-hit areas are still scouring lists of names for their missing relatives, and Nepali authorities have begun temporary mass burials for hundreds of victims who have not yet been identified. DNA samples are being taken in the hopes that their identities can be determined at a later date. #pbsnews #news #floods #rescue #nepal #china
