To Quincy, my best friend and the greatest dog I’ll ever have—you gave me more than words can express. You opened my world, letting me travel this country, meet countless people, and build the life I have today, all because of you. Your spirit brought laughter to everyone. For over half my life, you were my constant—before my first girlfriend, college, marriage, and kids. Even as you slowed with age, your presence alone brought me joy. Saying goodbye felt like losing a part of myself, and I don’t know when I’ll feel whole again. Life’s cruel truth is that what brings us the most joy can leave the deepest sorrow.
