Let’s talk about basting your pattern pieces to your fabric before cutting and why you’d do that! For tricky fabrics like chiffon, organza or some satin materials, this can be an easy way to ensure what you cut is true, especially important when grainlines matter a LOT!!! Is it necessary with everything all the time? No but if you aren’t great with pins and weights just aren’t cutting it, this is a good additional tool to have!!
