The @nytopinion columnist Jamelle Bouie isn’t a fan of JD Vance — and he says many Americans aren’t, either. “One of the interesting things about Vance as a figure in public opinion is that the more people get to know him, the more they don’t like him very much,” @jamellebouie says on a recent episode of “The Opinions.” He argues that it could be a major problem for Vance if he runs for president in 2028. Vance, a former Trump critic, has remade himself as one of the president’s most loyal allies, but Jamelle thinks his willingness to say whatever it takes to advance himself politically could ultimately turn voters off. “This is someone who can’t even feign belief in anything other than his own will to power,” he says. “People know when someone is just saying whatever they need to say to you to win.” | 📷 Kristen Williamson #theopinions #nytopinion
