Personally, I keep my hair long for my spirit and to honour my late father. I grew up with long hair, cut it because of bullying when I was younger, and later chose to grow it again. Many Indigenous people also cut their hair while mourning the loss of a loved one. Others keep it long. Some do both at different times in their lives. There is no single right or wrong choice.
