My mom has watched my dad fight for his jaw for YEARS. She’s watched him struggle to eat, live in pain, and get denied over and over by insurance while his mouth continued to deteriorate. So watching doctors genuinely upset that he’d been living like this, and immediately start figuring out how to help him eat again… I think it finally hit her. 😭 After years of watching the person you love be told “no,” there’s something overwhelming about finally hearing, “We’re going to figure this out.” ❤️🩹
