The parentified child often struggles with two things. They never really become the parent, and they never get to be the sibling. ✨There are exceptions to this one✨ I do want to mention. You might feel you had a sister or brother who stepped up and parented you when no one else did. And if that helped you and your relationship is stronger I love that.
