Our sweet Nessie McNubbins passed away early this morning. Her tired little body just couldn't hang on any longer. To say I am devastated is an understatement. Nessie was such a special dog. She was already an older gal when we adopted her, she'd been returned to the shelter multiple times and I was determined we were going to be her final home. While we believe she was likely around 14 years old, she had been healthy and had a clear checkup just a few months ago so we were hopeful we'd get more time with her. I'm incredibly thankful for the years we had with her but I am heartbroken by the years that were stolen from her due to what the vet believes was complications from undiagnosed cushings.
