Did you know? The American Museum of Natural History is home to the largest collection of dinosaur fossils in the world. Floor 4 of the Museum features approximately 165 dinosaur specimens. Of those, 85 percent of specimens contain real fossil material, as opposed to casts or reproductions.🦖 We’re one of the only museums in New York City, and the world, where visitors can get an up-close look at so many different dinosaurs—including the iconic Tyrannosaurus rex, discovered in 1908 in the Hell Creek Formation. Be sure to stop by the various carts stationed throughout our halls, like the one run by the Science Communication Internship Program (SCIP) interns featured in this video, to learn more about Museum specimens! #museumtok #stem #paleontology #dinosaurs #Science
